Saharanpur (18th Dec.)  History was created in terra incognita of Saharanpur when on 16th and 17th December, 2006, the Department of English, M.S. College, Saharanpur, hosted a U.G.C. sponsored National Seminar on “Indian Writing in English:  A Synthesis of East and West.

Image My dear students,

What makes an educational institution great? Acres of land? Buildings and interiors that would make anyone proud? State-of-the-art laboratories? Endless arrays of books in the library?

Well, if I were to answer this question, my answer would be: Teachers and students make an institution great.  The land and building, classrooms and labs, sports complex and the auditorium, library and the lecture theatre are desirable features of an educational institution and can only add to its greatness but the primary requirement of greatness, again,  is: good teachers and good students.
