Saharanpur : 23 May. Veteran educationist Dr. Y.K. Gupta, ex-Principal of Maharaj Singh College and Chairman of Gyankalash International School got another feather in his cap when his role in promoting education got recognised by Global Achievers Foundation and the Foundation felicitated him in Bangkok in a gracious Award Ceremony held on 11th May 2013.
The prestigious award ceremony was held in Bangkok where the prize was handed over to Dr. Yogesh Kumar Gupta by the ex-Dy. Prime Minister of Thailand. Dr. Gupta holds a PG degree and doctorate in Physics and has been instrumental in many of his scholars achieving doctorate while working under him. After getting retirement as Principal from Saharanpur's most prestigious Maharaj Singh College, he got involved in management of Gyankalash International School as is now leading the institution from the front as its Chairman.
Other prominent people who were present in the award ceremony were Indian Ambassador H.E. Dr. Anil Wadhwa, B.P. Soni, ex-IFS, Jaspal Rana, Zulfikar Ali, MLA of J&K.
Various organisations and institutions of Saharanpur including Maharaj Singh College and Gyankalash School, Maharaja Agrasain Samanvay Samiti, Saharanpur and Shivalik Bank have expressed great happiness on Mr. Gupta achieving this distinction and have wished him a long and prosperous life.

One of such scholarship is Maharaj Singh - Babu Indrasain Chandrakant Agarwal Scholarship
This Scholarship is to be given for poor and meritorious students to study in professional/technical/medical courses.

The cultural events will be dedicated to the holy memory of late Yogesh Chhibber who departed on 24th Oct. 2010 after a brief illness.

Only those teachers are considered good who never miss any chance to update their own knowledge. Since computer education is now a virtual necessity for everyone, how can teachers afford to stay away from it whatever their age may be.
So, in Maharaj Singh College, it is indeed a healthy and welcome sign that not only students but some teachers also are keen in learning computers. Some of them have joined one year post graduate diploma course being offered by TCIL-IT here.
