In continuation of Founder’s Week programmes, girls of Maharaj Singh College today put on display their artistic creations on floor and on their palms in Rangoli and Mehandi Competitions organized today. Not willing to be left behind, boy students excelled in flower pot decoration competition held just a few meters away. While Rangoli prizes were given away by Dr. Ram Shabd Singh, Mehandi prizes was distributed by the Principal Dr. K. K. Sharma. Dr. A.K. Dimri, Dr. S.C. Mishra and Dr. Sanjay Gupta gave away prizes for Flower Pot Decoration to the winners. Dr. Sandeep Gupta from J.V. Jain College also graced the occasion.
While Chetana (BA 2nd yr.), Saleena and Aashma (Both in MA 1st year) were awarded 1st, 2nd and 3rd prizes respectively in Rangoli Competition, Kiran Yadav (BA 1st yr), Bushra (BA 2nd yr. and Gulfasha (B.Sc. 2nd yr.) took away first, second and third prizes respectively in Mehandi competition.
Globally acclaimed artist Dr. Ram Shabd Singh, HOD Drawing and Paintaing Department, J.V. Jain Degree College and Ms. Suman Chawla of Guru Nanak Girls Inter College graced the occasion as honourable Juries in Rangoli competition. The responsibility of selecting the best entries in Mehandi competition fell on Ms. Chitra Bhargava and Ms. Renuka.
Sachin Gautam came out with flying colours in Flower Pot decoration competition securing the 1st prize. Saleena and Ashma settled with 2nd and 3rd positions respectively.
Tokens of Appreciation were also given to the Conveners of different competitions – Dr. Usha Saxena and Dr. Mamta Bishnoi (Rangoli) and Dr. Sneh Lata Singhal and Dr. Tasneem (Mehandi) by Dr. A.K. Gupta, over all incharge of the Founders Week celebrations.
